Boycott all the plastic - for real, tho. There’s no need to keep using plastic bags, plastic drinking straws, plastic utensils, plastic bottles… you get the idea. Just say NO to plastic.
Embrace the reusable - buy yourself a reusable bottle and cup, make sure you always have cloth bags with you for groceries. This way, you always have everything you need with you and you don’t need to spend money on another water bottle and then feel bad about yourself.
Cook more - by cooking more at home, you buy less takeouts. Buying less takeouts means reducing the usage of plastic. You don’t have to start prepping three course meals, remember - start small with something you know you can stick with. It can be just making cold brew at home, or making breakfast bars. Whatever works for you.
Trade off with your friends - your friends and close neighbors are a great resources when it comes to trade clothes, books, games for kids, almost anything. Trading is a win-win situation for everyone - you get new stuff, get read of the old stuff, save money and save waste.
Ditch the paper towels - use rags and dish towels instead of paper towels, and make sure to buy makeup remover that are 100% cotton so you can compost it after use.
Think before you throw - often more than not, we throw away things we can reuse or recycle. Just be aware before throwing :)
