Role Overview
We are looking for an Entry-Level Business Reporting Coordinator to support our Quarterly Reporting process and ongoing reporting operations. This is a junior, process-oriented role that involves reviewing structured datasets, preparing client reports, and performing quality checks to ensure accuracy.
You do not need technical experience.
You do need strong analytical thinking, comfort working with numbers, attention to detail, and the desire to understand how business metrics work.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured workflows, accuracy, and learning about business reporting in a growing startup.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare client report templates using defined reporting guidelines.
- Apply business rules and models to generate quarterly reports. One of the most important skills is to understand the business context & usage/engagement.
- Perform QA checks to validate numbers, spot inconsistencies, and flag anomalies.
- Add brief contextual notes from Sales, CS, and Product teams.
- Organize and store reports with clear versioning and traceable documentation.
- Support small ad-hoc reporting tasks such as data validations, cross-checks, and metric reviews.
- Follow structured processes and maintain well-documented steps.
Required Skills (Core Must-Haves)
- Strong analytical thinking and comfort working with numbers.
- Logical reasoning and ability to follow detailed procedures.
- High attention to detail and quality—especially during repetitive tasks.
- Good documentation skills. Ability to communicate clearly in English (written and verbal) with internal stakeholders (Note: this role is internally focused and does not involve direct client-facing communication)
- Curiosity to understand how the business operates and how metrics are derived.
Good to Have (Not Required but Helpful)
- Basic Excel or Google Sheets familiarity (filters, simple formulas, etc.).
- Exposure to dashboards (Looker Studio/Tableau – can be learned on the job). This role doesn’t require you to build dashboards, only navigate them.
- Experience working with structured data in academic or internship settings.
- Interest in business reporting or operations.
Soft Skills
- Organized, process-driven, and comfortable with routine work.
- Able to ask questions when something seems unclear.
- Comfortable working independently in a distributed/offshore environment.
- Enthusiastic about learning and growing within a startup environment.
Success Criteria
- Reports delivered accurately and on schedule each quarter.
- Clear documentation and version history for every report produced.
- Well-organized, accessible report storage.
- High-quality output with minimal errors.
